● Eligibility criteria

Since the school offers the Mahatma Gandhi Universal Values Merit-cum-Means Scholarship with the primary purpose of supporting needy and deserving students, the eligibility criteria are based on the student's gross family income. Depending on the financial ability of the student, the eligibility criteria are categorized as follows (For Academic  Year 2020-2021):


Category A - Gross family income of INR 8,00,000 or less get 20% off on tuition fee

Category B - Gross family income between INR 8,00,000 – 10,00,000  get 15% off on tuition fee

Category C - Gross family income of between INR 10,00,000 – 12,00,000  get 12% off on tuition fee

Category D - Gross family income of between INR 12,00,000 – 25,00,000  get 10% off on tuition fee


If your family's gross income falls between the specified ranges, then you are eligible and can qualify for the award. 


● Applicable grades

This prominent scholarship applies to students across all grades. Students from Nursery to Kindergarten 1-2 and those from Grade 1-12 can apply for the scholarship. This is because the scholarship considers all students' needs regardless of their age or grade and strives to support them. 


● Curricula

Every scholarship offered at Noida aligns itself with a specific curriculum depending on the grade of the target students. For this particular scholarship, the acceptable curriculum is the GMP and CBSE. Since the program covers Nursery and Kindergarten students, it accepts the GMP curricula. This is the Global Montessori Plus programme that offers the best teaching practices with modern methodologies for preschoolers. Students undertaking the program from Grades 1 to 12 will go through the rigorous and vibrant CBSE program that sharpens them academically and offers holistic learning.   


● Other requirements

Apart from the above eligibility criteria, the student must be an Indian citizen.

Their academic performance must be above the average. This means a student must score a minimum of 60% marks or its equivalent in tests and exams for the past two years. 

Prepare the family income or tax assessment documents of the previous two years as well as a self-declaration form for the student’s family's gross income. When submitting these documents, ensure they are up to date. The application should contain the required documents of the last two years. Do not submit additional documents. Be precise and accurate in your submission.  


● Dates

The scholarship's start date depends from year to year, keep watch on GIIS website. Note these dates to submit the application before the due date. Timely applications have higher chances of winning. If you submit your application way past the deadline, the school may not process it. 


● Tenure

The scholarship has a tenure of two years. If you happen to win the award, you will enjoy the scholarship benefits for two years. However, the continuation of the second year's scholarship will depend on how the student performs in the first year. To maintain the eligibility, a student has to maintain good scores.

The financial value from this MCM scholarship will go a long way in offsetting the tuition fee. This will make it possible for the student to access quality education at affordable rates.
